Description

A small solitary cup coral with a circular to oval cup and a tall, ribbed wall. Most species live in deep or dark water. In the Maldives it is known from specimens and literature records from deep water, below normal diving depth. It is told apart from related species only by close examination of the skeleton.

In the Maldives

Recorded from the Maldives: SeaLifeBase Maldives checklist. Only one kind of evidence was found, so it is listed as possibly present.
