Description
A wire coral: a single, long, unbranched black coral strand, often coiled into loose spirals, that sticks out from walls and overhangs. The living tissue is usually yellow, green or brown and covered in small polyps. Tiny wire-coral gobies and shrimps live on these strands. Like all black corals it is listed on CITES Appendix II.
