Description

A ghost crab: a pale, sand-coloured crab with long legs and tall, stalked eyes that lives in burrows on sandy beaches. It is mostly active at dusk and at night, when it runs at high speed across the sand to scavenge and hunt. It is one of the commonest beach crabs in the Maldives.
