Description
A shoulderblade coral: a massive coral that forms columns, knobs or rounded lumps, with small, star-like cups linked by fine ridges. Colonies are usually brown, grey or cream and can form large stands on reef slopes. The polyps are often extended by day, giving the surface a furry look.
