Description

A lace coral (a hydrocoral, not a true stony coral) that forms small, finely branched, fan-like colonies, often pink, purple or white, in caves and under overhangs. Like all lace corals it is listed on CITES Appendix II.

In the Maldives

Recorded from the Maldives: literature records via OBIS (Hexacorallians of the World (Fautin 2013)). Only one kind of evidence was found, so it is listed as possibly present.
